Congress is considering axing funding for programs that fall under the Older Americans Act, a 1965 law that provides social and meal services for older people, a position President Trump supports in his budget for the coming fiscal year.

@TucsonSentinel No question people will suffer if this is cut. I knew a number of people who worked for these programs or received meals delivered because they need it. So depressing if this is cut. What is a government FOR if not to benefit the people across the board?
