@TucsonSentinel To incarcerate people who have been given no due process. Illegal detentions — for profit.
@TucsonSentinel I'd have a hard time finding any rational observer who thinks private prisons are a good idea. But at the very least, this is an opportunity for Congress to ban the use of US tax dollars to fund any incarceration abroad. That would align with Trump's make-it-in-America rants, and it's a perfect bill for Chris van Hollen to champion.
