Pima County Attorney Laura Conover has maintained her opposition to the death penalty, even as fellow Democrats Gov. Katie Hobbs and Attorney General Kris Mayes have moved to resume executions in Arizona.

@TucsonSentinel I completely agree the death penalty is totally unnecessary. It's a total waste of time, money and effort, just lock the miscreants in prison for life w/o parole. If it's revenge the state wants, eliminate privileges to the point the worst of the worst sit in solitary confinement 24/7. Their only human contact can be seeing guards, visitors and other prisoners through thick clear barriers w/o audio, just large enough to see half their face.
