A new study shows that undocumented immigrants paid nearly $100 billion in federal, state and local tax revenue in 2022, while many are shut out of programs their taxes fund - findings that run counter to rhetoric that undocumented immigrants are “destroying” social programs.

@TucsonSentinel 46% of which was local sales taxes. So really this study just says "immigrants buy stuff, just like everyone else".
There's some weird double-think going on for the government to call these people undocumented, while at the same time assigning them ITINs for which to pay their federal & state income tax.
