Congressional efforts to create a Truth and Healing Commission on Indian Boarding School Policies got another boost, leaving the Senate poised to consider a bill to investigate the history and trauma of Native boarding schools.

The commission's name gives me a prickly spine, as it is sure to have lots of attempts of being appropriated by bad actors elected to the board for nefarious dealings under a distorted charges of Truth and Healing.
So it's good to read all members will be nominated by Native communities.
