A new report released by the Social Security Administration shows that the scope of the agency’s overpayment problem has continued to grow.

soooo, this overall large sum of money* is being overpaid some of the 69 million folks who receive it…but the vast majority of recipients are lower income or below the poverty line..

benefits start being taxed (effectively reduced) for people with incomes exceeding 25k or 32k a year, depending on filing status.

*this sum is substantially less than 2 week's worth of this years defense budget, which is 752 bn…of DISCRETIONARY spending… just sayin'
