So far this year, seven Republican-led states have left the Electronic Registration Information Center, an interstate compact for sharing voter registration data, and amid the exodus, some states have said they plan to create their own data-sharing networks to replace ERIC.

@TucsonSentinel All of these competing systems failed by accidentally removing—and disenfranchising—a lot of valid voters. I think that would be a feature and not a bug, for the red states looking to create an alternative today. The only hope of stopping them is that it hurts Republican voters more than anyone else.
