Arizona legislators are beginning to file bill proposals for the upcoming legislative session and one of the first seeks to restrict the use of students’ preferred pronouns in schools.

@TucsonSentinel, we need to support Arizona Dems and allies in 2024 to take over the Arizona State legislature.

@TucsonSentinel is that the outgoing legislature getting in last minute bills for the outgoing governor, or the newly elected legislature writing bills for Katie Hobbs to veto?

@billstewart415 These bills are being pre-filed by incoming lawmakers. The Legislature is not in session right now.

If the republican-led Arizona state congress does pass the bill, it's pretty safe to assume Democrat Gov elect Hobbs won't sign the bill.

According to the article, she was against the surgery and sports bans against #trans youth.

So why do this?
I think it's to further demonize transgender Americans. And to periodically blow the dog whistle that let's the GOP voting base know they should keep those #republicans in office.
