Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema announced Friday morning that she was leaving the Democratic Party, a move that was not surprising to political observers and longtime former allies and foes of the senior senator who are now looking ahead to 2024.

@TucsonSentinel have had a really hard time with #kyrstensinema for a really long time. #arizonapolitics are an absolute mess, so why not throw gasoline on the #dumpsterfire. I love #Arizona. I'm a #Tucson son. But #home is becoming increasingly depressing.

Kristen Cinema leaving the Democratic Party is NOT a loss. In fact, it's a GAIN because it shows people CLEARLY who she really is.

When she comes up for re-elections, we can choose based on the REALITY of who Cinema is. If she does good as an Independent - Fine. If not, then we know what we had in her.
