Democrat Kris Mayes narrowly won the race for Arizona attorney general. Democrats won all the high-profile races across the state (which they haven't done since 1948). Republicans keep losing here. Is it a fluke or the new state of things?

@TucsonSentinel we can only hope. The other option is to continue down the path to become the Florida of the West. We narrowly avoided that in this election. A top 4 primary system would help us move away from extremists making the general election ballot. The GOP will fight that tooth and nail.

It's long been moving toward being a swing state. Politicians have ignored the 1/3 of voters who are registered as independent at their peril. These are moderates who don't identify strongly with any of AZ's official parties. While they (we) may lean conservative (even libertarian), we and many establishment Republicans are tired of the nonsense, be it election fraud lies, McCain bashing, removing freedoms (of choice, speech, lifestyle, etc.), or otherwise.
