Several companies work with hospitals and municipalities to utilize AI gun detection software, and now schools are trying the technology as another tool to give authorities a heads up to prevent school shootings - though its use in a wider public context has raised concerns.

@TucsonSentinel I think I can predict how well this will work out. The software will pick out and flag kids of color to be searched while letting the white kids - who are far more likely to shoot up a school - just pass right through.

The DOJ has taken down their page with the relevant numbers but ...
