LGBTQ+ voting rights advocates are raising concerns over Arizona’s strict voter ID laws that were reinstated by the U.S. Supreme Court last month. The reason? The law inadvertently makes it harder for transgender people to vote.

i.e., these laws are designed with specific groups of people i. Mind for whom they want to remove political voice and power from.

@TucsonSentinel fwiw Arizona makes it easy to change everything but the birth certificate. Once I got everything going name change, ssa was the same day and dl after the update got through ssa's system. Bc took forever, but that was kinda my fault

That's name and gender updated. In Phoenix there's a guy who will walk you through the whole process for free.

Only thing I haven't done yet is my birth certificate, but the undertaker would be really surprised with the m on the birth certificate

@TucsonSentinel that was really long-winded, but as long as you can get the doctor's letter, you're golden. And your shrink will be able to help.

You do have a shrink, don't you? They're kind of necessary, getting used to hormones. It really helps to have somebody counseling
