A preliminary state budget document shows that the governor and lawmakers are planning to cut costs at nearly every state agency in the next year by around 3.45% as the state deals with a $1.3 billion deficit over the 2024 and 2025 fiscal years.

@TucsonSentinel I remember when the previous governor - a Republican - pissed away a surplus with tax cuts and school vouchers. The vouchers alone have siphoned up almost a billion dollars PER YEAR. The tax cuts, of course, decreased revenue.
