13 rattlesnake species make their presence known in both rural areas and even occasionally in homes in Arizona, and as the temperatures rise, there is a dramatic increase in the number of encounters of between snakes and people - and their pets.

@TucsonSentinel The first rattlesnake I encountered in #AZ was on the high school grounds where I was teaching a digital photography class. The kids surrounded it, wanting to kill it. When I told them to stop, the looks I got were pure malevolence. All they wanted was to kill something.
