A Republican measure - backed by restaurant owners and other business groups - would ask voters to amend the Arizona Constitution and let Arizona businesses pay employees who work for tips 25% less than the minimum wage.

Just to make sure that you are reading this correctly.

UNDER THIS LAW - YOU WOULD NOW HAVE TO TIP YOUR SERVER TWENTY FIVE PERCENT JUST SO THEY CAN MAKE MINIMUM WAGE.

And they still are forced to pay the surcharge on every credit card you use.

The people serving your food make LESS than minimum wage because YOUR TIP is what the employer uses to PAY HIS STAFF

@TucsonSentinel Thankfully, this piece of legislative excrement will almost certainly be vetoed by Hobbs. The GOP wants to bring back indentured servitude.
