@TucsonSentinel This problem could be mitigated by removing the ludicrous requirement that manufactured housing have wheels.

@TucsonSentinel did you know that up here in Seattle they almost closed our Wood Technology Center and when the local government voted on a financial package, they excluded us. I went to several of the town hall meetings about it, as did many of my classmates and they gave us a lot of handshakes, smiles, and nods. But what struck me was the question from one of the politicians who asked me "why not do the apprenticeship program?" I was like...oh, so you want us to have extremely low entry pay for our expensive city and a beginner skill set. Got it.

Because of my 5 quarter education, I can now do most tasks thrown at me. If our government wants skilled workers, then they should be willing to pay us a living wage. Especially when we have been educated.

We were saved by Lowes who granted us, I think, something like $500K so our program could continue. But man...what the heck? They should be throwing money at us and offering good beginning pay.
