Vandalism is an issue many Arizona national park sites have dealt with, and Montezuma Castle National Monument is wrapping trees in burlap to give the trees a chance to recover from their injuries and to enhance visitor experience by covering graffiti on the bark.

Of course they are (combating vandalism) because humans are assholes that need to stay as far as possible from the purity and beauty of natural places because we destroy everything we touch. Ughhh…
