The percentage of U.S. doctors in adult primary care has been declining for years and is now about 25% — a tipping point beyond which many Americans won’t be able to find a family doctor at all.

@TucsonSentinel Too true in Santa Fe. Been here 4 years, on my 4th pcp. They disappear, retire, don’t take new patients (after you’ve already signed up). Exasperating.

New primary care group was able to offer to let me see a PA (not a doc) in 8 months.

I was part of a #familymedicine group for 12 years. Gave that up 9 years ago and started a #directprimarycare practice working for patients, not insurance companies.

It's a much more effective way to deliver #primarycare compared to insurance or government #feeforservice and should be part of any #healthcarereform
